From a very young age, I’ve always wanted a Golden Retriever. I vividly remember asking my parents if we can please get a Golden Retriever and they always said no, but in a nice way of course.
There’s no secret that the whole family loves dogs because the different breeds we had over the years are quite interesting. We had a Jack Russel, Great Dane, Scottish Terrier, Schnauzer, and now a Doberman.
Fast forward a couple of years, my dream finally came true. I got the Golden Retriever that I’ve always asked for.
Meet Loki
At only 6 weeks, I got to hold this beautiful boy for the first time. I’m pretty sure the breeder wanted to kick me out of their house after spending an hour with this cutie. I could not wait for this day and then still had to wait another 2 weeks before he could come home with me.
Loki is now 4 months old and is such a beautiful growing boy. One thing is for sure, he is going to be a BIG boy when he’s fully grown. You can tell by looking at his paws. Having a puppy brings me such great joy. There are times when it’s a bit more challenging, like when he chews on the furniture or digs holes in the garden and runs through the house with his muddy paws. But the love I have for him is something I can’t put into words.
Loki absolutely loves meeting new people and furry friends, something that I’m very proud of being a dog Dad. I don’t think I’ve ever had, or met, a dog that loves sitting on your lap while chewing on a treat or a toy like Loki does. I’m not quite sure how that’s going to play out when he’s fully grown. You might not see me, just my legs sticking out from underneath him.

What is Lupostrol and NESEM?
Lupostrol is a blend of NESEM molecules. These molecules are: a proprietary blend of citrus bioflavonoids, green pea and pumpkin powder, and rice flour as a binding agent. There are no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, and the capsule is made from Gelatin.
Like humans, dogs express an enzyme called CYP1B1 which is often overexpressed in diseased/unhealthy cells. Lupostrol is basically a dog version of Salvestrols. Even though Loki is still so young and does not have cancer, I believe taking the proactive approach to support his health now and for the future is very important and something I’ve invested in from the start.

How Much to Give Your Dog, and Can Any Dog Take it?
Lupostrol is safe to take for any dog, no matter the breed or size. You can either give it to your dog as a treat, put the capsule in their food, or break the capsule and pour the powder over their food and mix it in. There’s no right or wrong way, you just need to see what works best for your dog.
There are 3 different dose guidelines, and this is based on the weight of your dog.
- For small dog breeds (up to 11kg) - 1 capsule.
- For medium-sized dog breeds (12-34kg) - 1 capsule, twice daily.
- For larger dog breeds (over 35kg) - 1 capsule, three times daily.
